Vocation Day marked in Nottingham

The Religious in the Nottingham Diocese take Vocation Sunday very seriously each year.  The Religious are invited to commit to an hour’s prayer during the day and then in the evening at 7.15 -those of us who are able gather via zoom for Evening Prayer.  This year was no different. From 9a.m. on Good Shepherd Sunday until 7.00p.m. – there was a continuous stream of prayer going up to the Lord – in response to his invitation to “pray the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into his harvest.”

In our Evening Prayer via zoom, we reflected on Pope Francis’ message for the day – reminding each one of us that we are called by God to use our gifts for ourselves and for others.
